This morning saw the official presentation the 52nd Rally Princesa de Asturias Ciudad de Oviedo at an event held at the Reception Hall of Oviedo's Council in the presence of the Education and Sports Delegate of Oviedo's Council, Mercedes González; the President of the Spanish Motorsport Governing body and Vice-president of the FIA, Carlos Gracia; the President of Asturian Motorsport, Aladino Martínez; the General Director of Sports for the Principality of Asturias, José Ramón Tuero and members of the organising committee, Julián Moreno, president, and Ulpiano Nosti, Race Director of the Rally, as well as fans and media.

After the greeting from the President of the Organising Committee, the Race Director explained some details of what will be the route of this 52nd running of the rally, emphasising that they are mostly the most historical stages but also with great changes so that the rally will be totally new. All the speeches remarked on the importance of the rally, the work carried out by its organisers and the relevance of this event for the city of Oviedo and for Asturias region, not only because of its cost but especially thanks to the huge number of spectators that the rally attracts and the income they bring to the event both in Oviedo and the whole region.

The Rally Princesa de Asturias Ciudad de Oviedo will be held on the 10th, 11th and 12th of September over the roads of Asturias and will have the most important and largest entry list of all the Spanish Rally championships events, being valid for the FIA European Rally Trophy (FIA-ERT) with the maximum coefficient, as well as for the Spanish and Asturian Championships and several single make cups such as the Renault Clio R3T European Trophy, the Suzuki Cup. This news that means the Group A Legend Rally, which attracts a lot of fans, will allow to them to see the cream of motorsport at speed on the Asturian roads.
