Iván Ares has set the fastest time on the second running of the Llanera stage and has managed to trim the gap by 2:30 seconds to Miguel Fuster, who has taken the second best time and continues as leader in the National class. After them comes Vallejo, both third on the section and in the general classification. Until now Fuster and Ares have shared the fastest times on the four stages that already have been run on this first day of the 52nd Rally Princesa de Asturias.

In the Trofeo de Europa de Rallyes, Jonathan Pérez continues his dominance. The Asturian driver continues to prevail on the fourth stage and leads the General Classification. Fran Cima stays in second place, on 1:02:80 minutes. The big news is the retirement of Rashid Al Ketbi, who was in third position in the General Classification, as a result of leaving the road. Now moving up to a potential podium position is Victor Senra with a total time of 40:04:30.

The teams in the Regional class have not disputed this second run on the three sections and they already are in the parc ferme. Tomorrow they will return to the highway.

One of the new features of this edition carries is an award from former driver Luis Climent that a jury will preside over. With sponsorship from Alastur and Sagardotegis Seafood restaurants will distribute 1,500 Euros between the teams that technically take the curve at Fresneu the best, the corner is sited on stage 8 Villaviciosa 1/Viajes El Corte Inglés, located at the 8.57 kilometre mark. This section will be run tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:35 in the morning.
